A little update:
Hi gang. Thought it was about time I had a go at this blogging malarkey.
I have been pretty busy since moving back up to London, got offered the chance to do some work experience with Topshop in the design department at head office, an offer I couldn't refuse. With spring/summer 2011 press day coming up they needed some help with rehashing and embellishing garments. I was given a knitted waistcoat from a previous season which I added hundreds of lengths of yarn and beads to in a long fringe, 70s style. The team seemed to really like the finished result so i'll be keeping my eyes peeled to see if it turns up in photographs and in store next summer.
Ravensbourne has thrown us straight back in at the deep end and I already have a major deadline in less two weeks. Our brief was set by Peter Jensen, a designer i'm already a big fan of, i'm currently busy knitting samples, doing work in my sketchbook and drawing out designs and in the second half of the project we will be making one of the outfits we have designed, however many garments that involves. Also had my first lesson on the dubied machine this week, fairly frustrating to begin with but I think I have just about got the hang of it. Need to start looking for internships for January, hopefully with a fashion knitwear design company so if any of you have any suggestions or friends who need some help, let me know.
Will try and post some photos of my garments when they are finished. Hope you are all well.

Big Hello
Hello there beautiful knitters!
I have finally taken the plunge and am no longer a virgin blogger. I hope you are all well and knitting like troopers. Just about to start knitting a scarf because it has gone so very, very cold - winter cometh. I will definitely work up to up loading some images and adding to the already extensive list of resources - one step at a time fellow bloggers! CONGRATULATIONS to those who have created such a wonderful blog it must have taken a great deal of time.
Have a great week.
